Arda wigs is my preferred brand for buying wigs. Rarely will you see me using a different brand. I not only use them for myself, I use them for my clients when doing commissions.
So what makes them so good? I find arda’s fibers to be very soft which is always a plus with a wig. (You don’t want a scratchy cheap wig that itches your head while you wear it.) They also look very realistic. I’ve had numerous times people have thought that a wig was my real hair at conventions or out in public when I had red hair that was fading and just decided to wear my Crimson Ewoyn. They are very easy to cut and style whatever way you want. They also look better when styled than other wigs. A simple feathered bang looks flawless while when trying the same technique with another big name brand wig company it looked very unnatural and choppy. They have a huge variety of colours and wig styles that makes it possible to have any wig for any character you want! Probably my favourite thing about Arda’s wigs is that you can dye them with fabric dye very easily. I am addicted to dying wig and the sharpie method (which you have to do on almost every other brand) doesn’t cut it for me. The fact that I can dye a wig like my Ryuko Senkentsu fashion week in a few hours is incredible. There are far too many good things to say about these wigs.
So what’s the downside? Even though these wigs are incredible they do have flaws. Their longer wigs do tangle a bit and require some maintenance. This happens with most long wigs and Arda is certainly not the worst when it comes to long wigs tangling but it also isn’t the best so it has to be noted. The wigs quality does make any tangling easy to calm down but don’t let it get out of hand! The other tangle problem is their Weft packs. Arda wefts always end up tangling up on me eventually when using them. I found a method that reduces the amount of tangling but it is still there. My Biggest problem with arda isn’t their wigs though. Their stock seems to always be low. Arda wigs are very High demand so some wigs just are never there and the only option is to backorder. But, sometimes you have to wait 2-3 months for a wig to come back in stock which is a drag when you need a wig quick, need it for a commission, or just want to style the wig before 2-3 months. This is one of the main reasons I haven’t done a Megara cosplay yet. Jeannie is Mahogany is always out of stock when I go to get her then it’s on backorder for two months.
So let’s sum this up!
